OUR HISTORY

Alaska’s Local Lumber Leader for over 50 years.

Northland Wood started doing business in 1965 with a small portable sawmill off the Nenana Highway just outside Fairbanks, Alaska.  After the sawmill burned down in 1966 the company moved to College Road.  In 1982 Northland Wood moved to its current location on South Cushman Street.  In 2004, a second location opened in Anchorage, off Brayton Street.

Northland Wood started with 5 employees.  Today the company employs 30+ people year-round, with as many as 50 during the summer season.
